Career Platform Built for Passive ‘Job Listening’

TORONTO, ON, September 26, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ — Luminari Talent Inc. announced it has raised over $500,000 from some of Canada’s top investors. The round was lead by XDL Chairman & Founding member of the Creative Destruction Lab, Dennis Bennie. Other investors include William Tunstall-Pedoe, Epstein Enterprises, Adam Dean, and Jay Rosenzweig. Luminari also received a grant from the OCE Smart-Start program adding to the injected capital.

Luminari cites competition-busting user engagement and placement rates due to the high-relevancy of their matches and the addition of other interesting career opportunities for their members. This includes non-profit opportunities like board seats, and startup advisory roles. Luminari has started by targeting Chartered Professional Accountants and will be expanding across other industry verticals as the company grows.

Luminari’s client list spans the spectrum from tech darlings like Wealthsimple and Shopify to traditional behemoths like Ernst & Young and TELUS. They are on track to place over 100 professionals at various companies within their first year.

According to a recent JobVite survey, 42% of Millennials switch jobs every 3 years, which means these professionals are always “kind-of” looking. Luminari is a reaction to this rapidly growing trend and poised to dominate the millennial market as it takes over the work force.
