CitiesAlive 2018 was a Major Success

NEW YORK, NY, October 02, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ — John Mini Distinctive Landscapes (JMDL) recently took part in CitiesAlive, a five-day event that took place between Sept 24-28 in various locations around NYC. The purpose of the event was to spread awareness and share information about the benefits of green roof and wall design.

“Events like CitiesAlive are important,” said Keith Behringer, “not only do we get to learn new styles and methods of designing green spaces for our clients, but we get to spend time with like-minded people and learn about the environmental and scientific value of what we do and how green design can help shape a better tomorrow.”

On Wednesday, JMDL’s very own Andrew Sliwa participated in the “Learning from Practitioners” workshop at the Brooklyn Navy Yard delivering a presentation entitled “In the Field With: Green Roof Maintenance Contractors.” The purpose of the presentation was to share information in the industry about the environmentally-friendly design of roof garden installations and maintenance.
